Gautam Gulati has emerged as the new Ultimate Ruler on Rise & Fall Season 2 after winning a tactical hockey challenge against Manish Goel and Rishabh Jaiswal. The contest tested the contestants’ strategy, timing and decision-making, with a last-minute move helping Gautam secure the victory. After claiming the title, he renamed the Tower “Gautam City”.
The race for the crown began with negotiations in the Red Room, where contestants were instructed to rely on intelligence rather than physical strength. Manish Goel and Jashwanth initially discussed the possibility of pitting Rishabh against Niharika Tiwari.
Priyanka Chahar Choudhary and Gautam were then asked to choose between Manish and Jashwanth. Their decision eliminated Jashwanth from the competition, leading to a confrontation over an earlier understanding.
Rishabh, meanwhile, opposed Gautam’s elimination, even as Niharika pushed for his name to be considered. Further discussions eventually resulted in Priyanka’s elimination, leaving Gautam, Manish and Rishabh as the final three contenders.
Hockey Challenge Decides the Ultimate Ruler
The final task revolved around a hockey match in which each selected Worker cost ₹1 lakh from the prize pot. Gautam chose Irina Rudakova, Manish selected Shehzad Poonawalla, and Rishabh picked Karan. Swara Bhasker initially took responsibility for keeping the score.
Contestants had to defend their goalposts while scoring against their opponents. A special buzzer twist allowed them to swap goalposts and scores, with each participant required to complete two swaps.
Gautam and Irina gained an early advantage, but Manish changed the standings with his first swap. After Shehzad suffered an injury, Sara Gurpal stepped in, while Jashwanth took over scorekeeping duties.
The contest remained close as the participants continued switching positions. Rishabh briefly moved ahead after swapping with Manish. However, Gautam made his decisive move just before the final buzzer, exchanging places with Rishabh and changing the outcome of the challenge.
Gautam City Announcement Sparks Reactions
Following his victory, Gautam claimed the Ultimate Ruler title and renamed the Tower Gautam City. The announcement drew mixed reactions from the contestants.
Niharika was particularly disappointed with Rishabh, believing that her sacrifice had gone to waste after he failed to convert his opportunity into a victory.
Hosted by Virender Sehwag and produced by Banijay Asia, Rise & Fall Season 2 continues to feature shifting alliances, strategic decisions and high-stakes challenges. The latest result places Gautam at the centre of the competition as the contestants react to his new position.
