Samay Raina Breaks Silence on Sharon Verma Dating Rumours, Says ‘Internet Doing Its Thing’

Comedian Samay Raina has addressed dating rumours involving Sharon Verma after their playful interactions on India’s Got Latent 2 sparked speculation among fans. Samay clarified that he is not dating Sharon and suggested that the rumours were simply a result of online speculation.

During an Ask Me Anything session on Instagram, a fan directly asked Samay whether he was dating Sharon. Sharing the question on his Instagram Story, Samay responded, “No brother, just internet doing its thing.”

The rumours gained attention after Samay and Sharon shared several light-hearted exchanges on India’s Got Latent 2. Sharon, who originally appeared as a contestant during the show’s first season in 2024, returned this year as a guest panellist.

Their quick exchanges and on-screen chemistry caught the attention of viewers, with clips from the episode gaining traction online. This led to increased speculation about the nature of their relationship.

Samay’s latest response has now put the dating rumours to rest, making it clear that the interactions seen on the show should not be interpreted as evidence of a romantic relationship.

Sharon Verma first gained wider attention after appearing on the inaugural season of India’s Got Latent in 2024. Her stand-up performance, including jokes about her Bihar background and her description of herself as a “weak independent woman”, became popular online and helped her gain a growing audience.

Samay Raina has previously also been linked by fans with actor Medha Shankr, known for portraying Shraddha Joshi in 12th Fail. The two have attracted attention because of their interactions on India’s Got Latent 2.

Medha recently appeared on the show alongside Varun Dhawan, Sharon Verma and Nishant Tanwar. During a magician segment featuring Kabir Sharma, the discussion turned toward Samay’s friends.

When Samay was asked to name his “sabse achha dost” from the panel, he immediately chose Medha. His response attracted attention because of the existing dating speculation surrounding the two.
