Questions over whether India’s Got Latent 2 was scripted have surfaced online after a Reddit user made allegations about a magic act performed by mentalist Suhani Shah in the show’s latest bonus episode. The claims have since spread to X, with users debating whether the segment was pre-planned.
The controversy centres on Bonus Episode 4 of India’s Got Latent Season 2, released on September 27 as a members-only episode on Samay Raina’s YouTube channel. The episode featured Suhani Shah alongside actor Ayushmann Khurrana and comedians Kullu and Rajat Sood.
What the Reddit post claimed
A Reddit user identified as Vaishali claimed she was present in the audience during the recording. According to her post, she briefly left and returned while Shah was performing her act. She alleged that she noticed a person behind the curtains wearing a shirt with the name “Anubhav” on it.
The user said that after watching the final episode, she believed what she had witnessed suggested the segment may have been scripted. She also claimed that a friend contacted Samay Raina’s team and received Rs 20,000 after agreeing not to reveal details about the recording.
However, these claims are based on a social media post and have not been independently verified. There has also been no confirmation presented in the report that the alleged payment took place or that the magic segment was scripted.
Who is Suhani Shah?
Suhani Shah is a mentalist, magician and YouTuber who has performed since childhood. She later developed her work around mentalism, psychology and human behaviour, building a substantial online audience through mind-reading and illusion-based performances.
Her appearance on the show became a major talking point after viewers began discussing how the act was presented.
The same episode also generated attention for jokes involving Ayushmann Khurrana, Kullu and Adnan Sami. A joke about Khurrana’s upcoming film Udta Teer prompted Kullu to mention Sami, who later reacted to a viral clip from the episode.
