Actor Shweta Tiwari has sought the attention of Maharashtra FDA Commissioner Tukaram Mundhe after claiming that a cockroach was found in connection with an online grocery delivery to her home.

The actor shared videos on social media showing a cockroach moving around inside her house and said the incident occurred after she ordered cold drinks through Instamart.

In the video shared on her Instagram Stories, Shweta Tiwari claimed that the cockroach had arrived along with her online order.

The actor jokingly asked whether Tukaram Mundhe should be tagged over the incident, before directly tagging the Maharashtra Food and Drug Administration commissioner and urging him to look into the matter.

The post quickly drew attention as Mundhe has recently been in the spotlight for action against food establishments over alleged food safety violations.

Why Did Shweta Tiwari Tag Tukaram Mundhe?

Tukaram Mundhe has been taking action against restaurants, canteens and other food-related establishments over alleged violations of food safety regulations in Maharashtra.

Referring to the alleged incident involving her delivery, Shweta Tiwari appealed to the FDA chief to take note of the issue.

Her social media post added another celebrity voice to the growing public conversation around food safety and hygiene standards in food delivery and retail services.

Shweta Tiwari Currently Seen in The Traitors Season 2

Apart from the viral delivery incident, Shweta Tiwari is currently appearing in The Traitors Season 2, hosted by Karan Johar.

The reality show features several other celebrities and is currently streaming on Prime Video.

It remains unclear whether Instamart or the Maharashtra FDA will issue an official response regarding Shweta Tiwari's complaint.
