Asian Games 2026: Anant Jeet, Parinaaz Win Mixed Skeet Bronze

Anant Jeet Singh Naruka and Parinaaz Dhaliwal won bronze in the mixed team skeet event at the 2026 Asian Games, adding a second medal each to their campaign and helping India complete a medal sweep across all three skeet team events.

India finished the mixed team final with 44 points at the Aichi Prefectural General Shooting Gallery. China secured gold with a world-record 52 points, while South Korea took silver with 51. Both surpassed the previous world record of 47.

Naruka and Parinaaz entered the four-team final after scoring 138 points in qualification, with Naruka hitting 70 of 75 targets and Parinaaz recording 68. Although India started strongly, challenging winds affected the competition as the final progressed. Qatar were eliminated first, guaranteeing India at least bronze.

The result marked India’s first medal in the Asian Games mixed team skeet event. It also completed a historic run in the discipline, with India winning bronze in the men’s and women’s team events earlier in the Games.

For Parinaaz, the second bronze followed her landmark women’s team medal. Naruka added another medal to his Asian Games record after previously winning individual silver and men’s team bronze at Hangzhou.

Naruka, who also competed at the Paris Olympics, said the Aichi-Nagoya bronze was particularly meaningful after finishing fourth in the Olympic mixed team event. The two shooters’ performances helped India secure medals in every team skeet event at the Games.
