UPTET 2026 Results Declared: Over 13 Lakh Candidates Qualify

The Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission has declared the UPTET 2026 results, with more than 13 lakh candidates qualifying across the primary and upper primary levels. Candidates who appeared for the Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test can check their results on the official website using their examination credentials.

A total of 19,94,661 candidates had registered for UPTET 2026. The examination was conducted on July 2, 3 and 4 across 955 examination centres located in 60 districts of Uttar Pradesh.

At the primary level for Classes 1 to 5, a total of 7,13,648 candidates appeared for the examination. Of these, 5,71,435 candidates qualified, resulting in a pass percentage of 80.07%.

For the upper primary level covering Classes 6 to 8, 10,57,021 candidates appeared for the examination. A total of 7,59,513 candidates qualified, recording a success rate of 71.85%.

The results also included working teachers who appeared for the eligibility examination. At the primary level, 1,22,405 working teachers took the test, with 93,387 qualifying, representing a success rate of 76.29%.

At the upper primary level, 1,46,394 working teachers appeared for the examination, of whom 1,13,384 qualified. The success rate among working teachers at this level stood at 77.45%.

Due to the large number of applicants, the UPTET 2026 examination was conducted in five shifts over three days. The test was organised across 60 districts of Uttar Pradesh through 955 examination centres.

The Commission stated that the examination was conducted through a fair, transparent and secure process. The final results were prepared after applying the normalisation procedure prescribed in the examination notification.

With the declaration of the UPTET 2026 results, qualified candidates can now proceed towards teaching-related recruitment opportunities, subject to the eligibility criteria and recruitment rules applicable to different posts.
