Following the success of Netflix’s ‘The Ba*ds of Bollywood’**, actor Lakshya has reportedly signed on for a new Dharma Productions film, which promises high-octane action and a gripping revenge storyline. The project will see Tiger Shroff sharing screen space with Lakshya, marking an exciting collaboration for action movie fans.
Initially announced by Karan Johar on his 50th birthday in 2022, the film was set to be directed by him. However, the directorial responsibilities have now shifted to Raj Mehta, known for blending drama and mass appeal seamlessly. Karan Johar will continue to be involved as a producer, focusing on other projects aligned with his signature style of emotional drama.
According to production sources, the film is in its final stages of preparation, with casting and story elements nearly finalized. Filming is expected to commence in November 2025, setting the stage for a major action-packed release in the coming year.
The casting of Tiger Shroff opposite Lakshya is a strategic choice. Both actors have proven their mettle in action roles, and industry insiders suggest that the on-screen rivalry between the two will be a key highlight. “It will be Tiger versus Lakshya. Both actors have shown their prowess in the action genre, and the film will benefit from their combined energy,” a source told Mid-Day.
Adding to the ensemble, Janhvi Kapoor is reported to play a significant role in the narrative, further enhancing the film’s appeal. The combination of intense action sequences, drama, and star power aligns with Dharma Productions’ successful formula for mass entertainers.
A source close to the production commented, “Karan has set his eyes on another story now, something more in his zone of drama and emotions. He is confident Raj will deliver the right mix of masala and big-screen action.”
With anticipation building among fans, the upcoming Dharma Productions action drama promises to be a major cinematic event, combining stellar performances, high-stakes action, and a compelling revenge plot.
