Rise & Fall Season 2witnessed its first major power shift as the Workers won the Printing Press Challenge and staged a Takhta Palat, taking control of the Penthouse from the former Rulers. The team secured 66 approved pamphlets, turning the competition’s hierarchy upside down and sending the defeated contestants to the Basement.
Niharika Tiwari was the exception, retaining her position as Ultimate Ruler even after the change in power. The victory sparked fresh alliance discussions, arguments and questions about loyalty as contestants began adapting to their new circumstances.
Printing Press Challenge Triggers the First Takhta Palat
The challenge was marked by tension, including a heated exchange between Jashwanth and Gautam Gulati. Despite the confrontation, the Workers stayed focused and secured the winning total of 66 approved pamphlets.
The result gave the Workers control of the Penthouse and made them the new Rulers. Meanwhile, the former Rulers moved to the Basement, where some discovered that conditions were not as difficult as they had anticipated.
The changing hierarchy also prompted Manish Kashyap, Jashwanth and Rishabh Jaiswal to discuss forming an alliance, suggesting that the strategic game was entering a new phase.
Irina’s Temperament Fuels Fresh Arguments
The power shift did little to reduce tensions. A discussion between Shehzad Poonawalla and Swara Bhasker about Irina Rudakova’s temperament led to another confrontation. Karan Patel and Swara reminded Irina that contestants were entitled to express their opinions.
Actor Dipali Sharma, known for Duniya Ki Thain Thain, subsequently introduced a task based on love, obsession and betrayal. The Rulers had to identify the contestants they believed were most likely to betray them.
Gautam named Priyanka Chahar Choudhary and Jashwanth, while Jashwanth chose Sonam Malik. Sonam named Manish, who also picked her. Priyanka selected Gautam, Niharika named Rishabh, and Rishabh chose Niharika.
The choices revealed competing loyalties and highlighted the uncertainty surrounding the contestants’ alliances.
Shehzad’s Birthday Offers an Emotional Break
Amid the arguments, Shehzad Poonawalla’s birthday brought an emotional moment to the Tower. He received a letter from his family and later spoke to his mother over a video call, becoming visibly emotional and moving his fellow contestants.
The Rulers also received a cake, while Priyanka was given a special pastry. However, strategic planning soon resumed, with Gautam working on his proposed Gautam City and attempting to bring Jashwanth and Rishabh into his group.
Sonam Malik Loses Her Shot at the Crown
Week 4 brought another twist when all contestants were nominated for elimination. The Lift also announced the end of Niharika’s tenure as Ultimate Ruler.
The Rulers were asked to identify who they considered least capable of winning the crown. After discussions involving Sonam, Gautam and Priyanka, Sonam was eliminated from the race for the throne.
The Red Room then opened for the first time since the Takhta Palat, hosting a chess-inspired game designed to influence contestants’ chances of becoming Rulers. Manisha and Jashwanth were the first pair to enter, facing decisions involving Niharika and Rishabh.
With the Workers now ruling the Penthouse, new alliances and fresh challenges could determine who maintains control next.
Produced by Banijay Asia and hosted by Virender Sehwag, Rise & Fall Season 2 streams on Prime Video, with new episodes released daily at noon.
