Tottenham Forward Randal Kolo Muani Safe After Minor Car Accident

Tottenham Hotspur forward Randal Kolo Muani was involved in a minor car accident on Tuesday while travelling ahead of the club’s crucial Champions League fixture in Germany. The incident occurred as the French international was en route to the airport before Tottenham’s final group-stage match against Eintracht Frankfurt.

Tottenham head coach Thomas Frank confirmed that the striker escaped the incident without injury and is expected to be available for selection. Speaking at his pre-match press conference, Frank played down concerns, stressing that the accident was minor in nature and did not pose any risk to the players’ fitness.

According to Frank, the incident was caused by a tyre issue during the journey, resulting in a brief delay to the players’ travel plans. Kolo Muani was accompanied by teammate Wilson Odobert, although the club later clarified that the two were travelling in separate vehicles at the time.

“Unfortunately, both were involved in a minor accident, and everyone else involved in that accident is doing well,” Frank said. “It was a tyre blowing, so they are a little delayed, but they will land later tonight.”

The Tottenham manager added that he had received reassuring updates about the players’ condition and expected no disruption to squad availability. “I haven’t spoken to them personally yet, but the message is that they are doing well. I fully expect them both to be available tomorrow,” he said.

Images circulating on social media showed Kolo Muani standing next to a visibly damaged luxury car alongside Odobert, prompting initial concern among fans. Tottenham later clarified that Odobert had stopped to assist his teammate after the incident, confirming that both players were unharmed and able to continue their journey.

Important Match Ahead for Spurs

The timing of the incident comes ahead of a decisive European night for Tottenham. The club enters the final Champions League group-stage match knowing that a positive result in Frankfurt would secure a top-eight finish and confirm direct qualification to the knockout phase.

Kolo Muani, currently on loan from Paris Saint-Germain, has played an important role in Tottenham’s European campaign this season. The forward has scored twice and provided two assists in the competition, emerging as a key attacking outlet during crucial fixtures.

While the French striker is expected to feature, Tottenham will be without several first-team players for the trip. Frank confirmed that full-back Pedro Porro will be sidelined for approximately four weeks after suffering a hamstring injury. Centre-back Micky van de Ven has also not travelled, with the manager describing his absence as precautionary due to a minor issue.

The club’s injury list already includes several influential players, adding to the challenge ahead of the European clash. James Maddison, Mohammed Kudus, Lucas Bergvall, Dejan Kulusevski and Richarlison remain unavailable, placing additional pressure on the remaining squad members.

Despite the setbacks, Tottenham remain confident heading into the fixture, with Frank emphasising squad depth and focus. The coach said the team’s priority is maintaining concentration and momentum as they push for progression in Europe.

With confirmation that Kolo Muani is fit and expected to feature, Spurs supporters will be relieved as the club prepares for a high-stakes encounter that could shape the remainder of their Champions League campaign.
