InnoData layoffs have reportedly affected nearly 550 employees in India, with additional job cuts reported in the Philippines. The sudden workforce reduction on October 26 left employees struggling to access company systems, retrieve payslips and understand the circumstances surrounding their termination.

Employees described an ordinary workday turning into a sudden job loss as reports of layoffs began circulating around lunchtime. Workers said company laptops logged them out and official IDs were deactivated, while termination emails subsequently arrived in their personal email accounts.

The company had not publicly confirmed the total number of employees affected across India and the Philippines at the time of the report.

Employees Lose Access to Company Systems

An employee based in Delhi said workers initially heard reports that teams in the Philippines had been dismissed during a Zoom call. The affected roles reportedly included raters, quality experts, team leaders and operational managers.

Some employees in India subsequently checked the company's HR portal and found that their payslips had been generated. According to the employee, the portal listed October 26 as the resignation date and last working day.

Workers contacted managers and HR representatives seeking clarification, but access to official devices and accounts began disappearing. Employees then created a WhatsApp group to connect with colleagues facing similar circumstances. One employee said the group had nearly 500 members by late evening, although its membership does not independently establish the total number of people laid off.

What Did the Termination Email Say?

A termination email reviewed by the publication stated that employment would end on October 26 because of a reduction in the business assignment for which the employee had been engaged.

The communication said the decision was based on business and operational requirements rather than individual performance. It also outlined the full and final settlement process, stating that a demand draft had been prepared and that the original would be handed over after company assets were returned.

Employees also reported difficulty downloading payslips and other employment documents after losing access to the HR payroll application.

Job Cuts Reported in the Philippines

Reports of layoffs also emerged from the Philippines, where individuals identifying themselves as InnoData employees described job losses on social media. Some posts attributed redundancies to declining service volumes from a major client and referenced the MUPSL project.

These accounts remain individual reports and do not independently confirm the total number of affected workers or establish a single reason for the reductions across locations.

InnoData, a US-based data engineering and artificial intelligence services company headquartered in Ridgefield Park, New Jersey, reported 10,107 employees globally as of December 31, 2025, in its annual report.

The reported layoffs have renewed concerns among affected workers about employment security, access to records and the completion of exit formalities. A company response would help clarify the scale of the cuts and the business decisions behind them.
