Hrithik Roshan Reiterates Praise for Dhurandhar Despite Political Disagreements
Hrithik Roshan has doubled down on his praise for Aditya Dhar’s Dhurandhar, a day after he publicly acknowledged that he disagreed with the film’s political undertones. Despite that ideological distance, the actor reiterated that the film’s craft, performances and cinematic execution have deeply impressed him.
In his earlier post, Hrithik had described Dhurandhar as “cinema that takes control and shakes you,” noting that while he didn’t align with its politics, he admired what it accomplished artistically.
On Thursday, Hrithik expanded on that sentiment with a fresh social media note:
“Still can't get DHURANDHAR out of my mind. @adityadharfilms you are an incredible maker man.”
He went on to applaud the cast for their performances.
Praising Ranveer Singh, he wrote, “From silent to fierce — what a journey and so damn consistent.”
Hrithik also highlighted Akshaye Khanna, calling him his “favourite,” adding that the film once again proved why. He applauded R. Madhavan’s “grace, strength and dignity,” and delivered a surprise appreciation for Rakesh Bedi, calling his performance “phenomenal… what an ACT, brilliant!”
The actor further credited the makeup and prosthetics team, noting their crucial role in shaping the film’s gritty realism.
Hrithik concluded his message with excitement for the sequel:
“I can’t wait for Part 2!!!”
With his second post in as many days, Hrithik has made it clear that while Dhurandhar may not align with his political views, its filmmaking quality has left a strong creative impact on him.
