IIT JAM 2027 Registration Deadline Extended to October 19

The registration deadline for IIT JAM 2027 has been extended by one week, giving candidates additional time to complete their applications. The application window, which was earlier scheduled to close on October 12, will now remain open until October 19.

IIT Kharagpur is conducting JAM 2027 and has invited eligible candidates to apply online for admission to 89 postgraduate programmes across 23 IITs for the 2027-28 academic session. The registration process began on September 12 through the official JAM application portal.

According to the schedule provided for the examination, candidates can make data corrections through the JOAPS portal from November 10, subject to the applicable payment. The computer-based JAM 2027 examination is scheduled for February 14, 2027, while the results are expected to be announced on March 18.

The examination will cover seven test papers: Biotechnology, Chemistry, Economics, Geology, Mathematics, Mathematical Statistics and Physics. Candidates can choose one or two papers, provided their selected papers are scheduled in different sessions.

For one paper, the application fee is Rs 1,000 for female candidates and candidates belonging to SC, ST and PwD categories, while the fee for other candidates is Rs 2,000. For two papers, the respective fees are Rs 1,350 and Rs 2,700.
