Brad Pitt Returns as Cliff Booth in David Fincher’s New Netflix Film

Brad Pitt is returning as Cliff Booth in The Further Mis-Adventures of Cliff Booth, a dark comedy spin-off of Quentin Tarantino’s 2019 film Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. Directed by David Fincher, the film moves the story eight years ahead to 1977, with Booth taking on a new career as a studio fixer after working as Rick Dalton’s stunt double.

The newly released trailer features Booth caught up in chaos involving mud wrestling, murder and high-speed car chases. Elizabeth Debicki’s character also questions him about his years working with Dalton, prompting Booth to joke that Rick eventually became too heavy for him to continue doubling him.

Leonardo DiCaprio will not return as Rick Dalton, while Timothy Olyphant reprises his role as James Stacy. Scott Caan, Debicki, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Carla Gugino, Holt McCallany and JB Tadena join the cast in new roles.

The film will debut in IMAX theatres on November 25, 2026, before arriving on Netflix on December 23. Tarantino is producing the project but chose not to direct, saying he wanted his final film to take him into unfamiliar territory. He has also expressed interest in seeing how Fincher interprets his script. The film was shot in Los Angeles and is produced by Tarantino, Pitt, David Heyman, Cen Chaffin and Stacey Sher.
