Iran has outlined three major conditions for ending the ongoing conflict with the United States and Israel, stating that the war can only conclude if its demands regarding national rights, war damages and future security guarantees are met.
According to Masoud Pezeshkian, Tehran is willing to consider peace, but it will not accept a ceasefire without clear commitments from its adversaries. The statement comes as the military confrontation between Iran and its rivals continues to intensify in the region.
Iran’s leadership has said that the first condition for ending the war is the recognition of Iran’s sovereign rights under international law. Officials have repeatedly argued that the country’s political and strategic decisions must be respected by the international community.
The second condition put forward by Tehran involves reparations for damage caused during the conflict. Iranian authorities say the strikes carried out by US and Israeli forces have resulted in damage to infrastructure and civilian facilities, and they expect compensation for these losses.
The third condition relates to firm international guarantees against future attacks. Iran’s leadership has insisted that without credible assurances that similar military actions will not be repeated, any ceasefire agreement would lack long-term security.
President Pezeshkian stated that Iran remains committed to peace but believes that a fair and lasting resolution requires clear commitments from the countries involved in the conflict.
The latest statement comes as the military confrontation between Iran and its adversaries enters its third week, with continued strikes and retaliatory actions reported across the region.
The conflict has raised concerns globally due to its potential impact on regional stability and global energy supply. The Middle East plays a central role in global oil and gas markets, and prolonged instability in the region can influence energy prices and international trade.
The ongoing hostilities have also drawn attention to strategic maritime routes such as the Strait of Hormuz, through which a significant portion of the world’s oil shipments passes. Any escalation in the conflict could affect shipping routes and disrupt energy supplies to global markets.
Diplomatic efforts by various countries and international organisations are continuing in an attempt to reduce tensions and encourage dialogue between the parties involved.
Analysts say that the conditions outlined by Iran could become a key part of future negotiations if diplomatic channels open for peace talks. However, reaching a mutually acceptable agreement may be difficult given the complex geopolitical issues involved.
For now, the situation remains highly volatile as military actions and political statements from all sides continue to shape the course of the conflict.
