Comedian Samay Raina has gone viral once again after unexpectedly crossing paths with the infamous “panoti guy” from his former talent show India’s Got Latent. The encounter took place onboard an IndiGo flight during the airline’s ongoing operational crisis, instantly triggering a wave of memes and jokes across social media.
In the now-trending Instagram reel, Raina films himself before turning the camera toward the contestant known online for his humorous claim, “Jahaan bhi jaata hoon, woh jagah band ho jaati hai.” Spotting him during the airline’s turmoil prompted fans to jokingly blame him for the situation, with many commenting that the timing was “too perfect to be real.”
The contestant first became popular through Raina’s discontinued YouTube show, where he was introduced with the comical “panoti” label. His surprise appearance on the flight reignited nostalgia and laughter among fans, even as Raina continues to face scrutiny over controversies stemming from the same show.
Earlier this year, videos from India’s Got Latent surfaced in which Raina was seen mocking individuals with disabilities, including patients with Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA) and visually impaired individuals. Multiple court summonses were issued, and Raina was ordered to publish formal apologies across platforms.
