Pariksha Pe Charcha 2026 Breaks Guinness Record With 4.3 Crore Registrations

Pariksha Pe Charcha (PPC) 2026 has created history by recording more than 4.3 crore registrations, setting a new Guinness World Record and reinforcing its status as the world’s largest student-focused engagement programme centred on examinations and mental well-being.

According to official figures released on January 9, 2026, a total of 4,30,18,173 participants have registered for the ninth edition of the initiative. This milestone surpasses the previous record of 3.53 crore registrations achieved in 2025, reflecting the programme’s rapidly growing relevance among students, parents and educators across India.

Students Drive Record Participation

Students form the backbone of this unprecedented participation. Out of the total registrations, over 4 crore students from Classes 6 to 12 have signed up. The programme has also drawn strong interest from teachers (over 24 lakh) and parents (over 5.7 lakh), highlighting its inclusive design and wide appeal.

The scale of participation underlines how Pariksha Pe Charcha has evolved from a modest interaction platform into a nationwide movement addressing exam stress, learning challenges and emotional well-being.

How the Registration and Selection Process Works

Registrations for PPC 2026 opened on December 1, 2025, and concluded at midnight on January 11, 2026. Participants registered through the official MyGov innovation portal, choosing their category — student, teacher or parent.

As part of the process, applicants were required to complete an MCQ-based activity and submit questions or suggestions related to examinations, study strategies or stress management. Upon completion, participants received a digital participation certificate, while selected entries will be shortlisted for direct interaction during the main event.

Event Date Awaited, Format to Be Announced

While authorities have confirmed that Pariksha Pe Charcha 2026 will be held later this month, the exact date and format of the interaction are yet to be announced. Further details regarding shortlisted participants and session structure are expected soon.

Focus on Mental Health and Holistic Education

Organised annually by the Government of India, Pariksha Pe Charcha aims to reduce exam-related anxiety and promote a healthier approach to academics. The programme focuses on key themes such as:

  • Managing examination pressure

  • Effective learning and revision techniques

  • Mental health and emotional resilience

  • Balanced and holistic student development

Held ahead of board examinations, the initiative encourages students to view exams as part of life rather than a source of fear.

From a National Initiative to a Global Platform

The growth of PPC has been extraordinary. From just 22,000 participants in its first edition in 2018, the programme now engages crores of participants. The 2025 edition witnessed global participation from students, teachers and parents across more than 240 countries, underlining its expanding international footprint.

With Pariksha Pe Charcha 2026 setting a new global benchmark, the initiative has firmly positioned itself as more than an annual event. It has become a powerful platform shaping conversations around education, mental health and student confidence — both in India and beyond.
